At MIDFT, our key goal is to impart education in the field of Dairy and Food Processing Technologies to generate Dairy Technocrats, i.e. raw dairy aspirants into hard core dairy professionals and make available competent human resource to the fast-developing industry in the country. During the four years of B.Tech. (D.T.) course, students are exposed and trained to address various theoretical and practical problems arise in processing operations. The presence of fully furnished classroom and laboratory facilities, vigorous In-plant training and qualified dedicated faculties help students of MIDFT to excel and be ahead in the competitive professional environment. Hence, we believe that our students will be able to contribute positively to the dairy & food industry by using their knowledge, skills and attitude they have acquired at MIDFT.

Total ninth batches of B. Tech. (D.T.) students have been passed out from MIDFT by 2022-23 and all these students have got hundred percent job placements at various dairy plants within the Gujarat as well as in other states. Some of the students got admissions in prestigious institutes like NDRI, Karnal (Haryana) and SMC College of Dairy Science, Anand (Gujarat) for Master degree programme (M. Tech.) by clearing entrance exam. From 2016-17, MIDFT has been principally recognized for the Centre of post-graduation studies for M. Tech. and in-service Ph.D. courses in Dairy Sciences by Kamdhenu University.
