Dairy Microbiology

Dairy Microbiology department of MIDFT offers M. Tech and PhD (currently only In-service) degree courses in Dairy Microbiology. We have 4 faculty member in the department; one Professor and three Assistant Professors. The faculty is actively involved teaching and guiding students for B. Tech, M. Tech and PhD courses. Our faculty is also continuously conducting In-house research project and SSIP project of MIDFT students in the fields of Dairy Microbiology e.g., development of novel fermented milk products, starter cultures, probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, bio-preservatives, quality assurance and food safety. We work closely with Dudhsagar Dairy and offer support related to quality assurance and safety of dairy products.
