Mansinhbhai Institute of Dairy & Food Technology, Mehsana organized a workshop including on “The Digital Age: AI and the Mindset of Today’s Youth” at MIDFT under the Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP) 2.0 mandate on 31st July 2025. The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and the widespread integration of digital technologies have significantly transformed the way young people interact with the world. From social media algorithms to AI-driven educational tools, today’s youth are not only consumers of digital content but active participants in a technology-driven society.
The workshop aimed to understand how AI and digital environments influence critical thinking, identity formation, and social interaction in younger generations. Three major activities including essay writing, poster making, and debate were organized to encourage student participation and expression in the workshop.
In the programme, out of 100 students from different years of B.Tech-Dairy Technology course, 26 students participated in the different activities. In the essay writing competition the topic was ‘Social impact of AI tools’ and 11 students participated. In the Poster making event, the topic was ‘Traditional learning Vs Digital learning’ and 11 students participated whereas in debate competition four students participated and it was on the ‘Traditional learning Vs Digital learning’.
