NSS Unit, MIDFT Mehsana

NSS Unit of MIDFT is organizing NSS activities for the students enrolled in B.Tech. (D.T.) programme since 2012. NSS aims at arousing social consciousness of the youth with an overall objective of personality development through community service. 

At MIDFT, NSS unit organize two types of activities- Regular Activities and Seven Days Special Camp. In regular activities, Tree Plantation Camp, Thalassemia Camp, Sharamdaan Camp, Swachhata Camp, Swachhata Awareness Camp, Food Safety Awareness Camp, Food Adulteration Awareness Camp and Training, Blood Donation Camp, Polio Campaign (With Civil Hospital), Campus Activity (such as Sports Ground Preparation, Sharamdaan in College and Dudhsagar Dairy Activities) and Celebration of National Days (such as International Yoga Day, World Food Day, National Milk Day, Constitution Day, NSS Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, National Integration Day etc).

In Seven Days Special Camp, NSS volunteers along with Program officer and some faculty members stay at village for seven days and night. During this stay, several activities which are beneficial for villagers such as Adhaar Card Camp, awareness regarding Clean Milk Production, awareness regarding use of Cattle Feed and Mineral Mixture by milk producers, awareness regarding Govt. Schemes, Career Counselling to school students, Organizing Sports events in village school, Quiz Competition in school students, plantation activities in village. NSS volunteers also organize various programs such as skit, drama, speeches, cultural events on various themes such as Matdaan- Jagriti, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Andh-Shraddhha, Humanity, Clean Milk Production, Health etc.
